The Holocaust Is in the News This Week
Besides the controversy over Sarkozy’s plan for Holocaust education, which I have already blogged about, a whole other bunch of Holocaust-related items have made the news this week:
History News Network has two breaking stories, one on the ceremonies in Bulgaria commemorating the protests which prevented deportation of Bulgarian Jewry, and the other on a model of Hitler’s vision of “Germania.”
Mixed Multitudes lists 11 Holocaust-related news stories. For instance, The Art of Restitution, an article in the Jerusalem Post about art stolen from the Jews during the Holocaust and attempts to return pieces to their original owners.
Whether or not Sarkozy’s plan goes into effect, he has definitely gotten people talking about the Holocaust.
