Rev. Wright against Jews and Zionism

Last week Rev. Jeremiah Wright, President Obama’s former pastor, said that “them Jews aren’t going to let [Obama] talk to me.”

Now he has “corrected” himself: “I’m not talking about all Jews, all people of the Jewish faith, I’m talking about Zionists.” He added that the Jewish vote and the AIPAC vote have too much influence over the US government.

So why did he use the word “Jews” instead of “Zionists’? According to him, he was “trying to talk rapidly” and get an interviewer to focus on something other than the president.

Obama dumped Rev. Wright like a hot potato as soon as he realized the minister was a liability in his presidential campaign due to his racist comments. The Jews or the Zionists (is there really a difference in this context?) had nothing to do with it.

Using Zionist instead of Jew IS a code word to make the anti-semites look politically correct.
