About

This blog is written by Hadassah Levy, as part of the Returning and Redemption section of the Center for Online Judaic Studies (COJS). The story of the Jewish people is the story of the Land of Israel: settlement, exile and restoration. This blog follows that story, bringing you news, research and interesting facts about Zionism and Israel in the broadest sense.

    Ms Levy,

As you have kindly referred your readers to some of my prior works on anti-Semitism on college campuses, I thought that you (and perhaps your readers) would be interested to know that the Social Science Research Network has just yesterday posted my newest research on this subject. My new law article addresses the troubling tendency of some U.S. college administrators to duck behind the First Amendment when anti-Semiitism issues arise on their campuses, when in fact the First Amendment is often inapplicable to these issues. It can be found and downloaded from this SSRN cite: http://ssrn.com/abstract=1112189.

Thanks. I appreciate your pointing out this article to me. I have quoted from it and linked to it on today’s post, “When is Anti-Zionism Also Anti-Semitism?” at https://zionismandisrael.wordpress.com/2008/03/27/when-is-anti-zionism-also-anti-semitism/

I will be happy to mention other relevant material if you let me know about it.

    Hadassah:

You mention your namesake in the article about the 1948 massacre of the convoy. I wonder if you’ve ever run across a map showing the convoy’s exact route.

My better half is reading the Collins/Lapierre book on Jerusalem, so I’d very much like to show her exactly (via Google earth, etc) what route the convoy took.
